King’s College Commencement Ball - Woodands

Well hello again! It has been some time since I have made a blog post so I thought I would share some of our recent events with everyone. So MAY, spring, warm, flowers, allergies, and graduations… LOTS of them. We began the week of May 13th with the Wilkes University Senior Picnic, which unfortunately due to the weather was moved from their beautiful greenway to inside the campus center. All in all even being inside it was another great event with Wilkes U.

From there we go to Wednesday with the King’s College Commencement Ball at The Woodlands Inn and Resort. Let me tell you, these graduates came to party! We had something like 450 strong in the ballroom, and they partied start to finish, just an amazing group.

Emo Nigh - Tellus 360, Lancaster PA

Next on Thursday the 15th was again the Wilkes University Presidents Dinner, as expected this was also a great party! The very next day I headed down to Lancaster for an event setup with my good friend Dj Edge. We had officially have taken Screaming Infidelities Emo Night on the road. This time the setting is historic downtown Lancaster at Tellus 360, and what an amazing town and venue. We have something like 300 screaming emo fans on the 2nd floor of Tellus reliving their emo dreams. I am happy to say we are already planning our next night there in the fall.

As if those 4 events were not enough, Prom Kingz which is a joint venture between Dj Hersh and Dj Edge had the opportunity to rock out for Warwick High School at an amazing venue nearby, Rock Lititz. When i tell you amazing you need to check out the photos because it is definitely a great multipurpose venue.

Now hopefully i get a few days rest and get right back at it! Later folks!

Wilkes Spring Fling Dance 2019

Well what can I say? Another spring fling for Wilkes University is in the books, and again it was an amazing night. The Wilkes kids certainly came to party. After everyone fraternized and ate dinner they were definitely ready to turn up! Dj Hersh again sent the 500+ in attendance into a literal uproar. BeatTeks.com would like to thank the Student Government and officers for allowing us to once again be a part of your great event. And also special thanks to the staff at Genetti’s Wilkes-Barre for a flawless evening.

EMO Night

The entire Wyoming Valley is buzzing about EMO Night! Our last event which featured special guests Craig Owens of Chiodos, and Esta Coda was nothing short of amazing! A sold out crowd packed Stage West in Scranton and they came to party. Moving along with Screaming Infidelities has been nothing sort of refreshing. The Emo fans are not like any other crowds I usually cater to. They are so connected and entrenched in the music that it really is unbelievable and so difficult to compare to many gigs i play.

We are truly thankful for those who come out to enjoy our nights and want to make sure to welcome everyone to our next event March 23 at the River Street Jazz Cafe in Wilkes-Barre! See you there emo kids!

2019 Here We Come!

Ok Ok, this isn’t going to be one of those recap posts about how great the past year was or how many events we did, or how many residencies we hold. You already know all about that. This is just a thank you to all of our past clients, future clients, and a look forward at the immediate events to come and some exciting new opportunities coming for the team.

First, Screaming Infidelities: SI has had an incredible set of hits over the past 24 months. Sold out shows, new venues, crazy crowds and still more to come. Our next two shows coming up in the next 3 months will be something you need to experience. First our February show, once again at Stage West in Scranton. WE have a special guest from a national band coming to do a guest set! Craig Owens of Chiodos! Don’t miss this show it is sure to bring a tear to your eye.

Then a few weeks later we take the show back to Wilkes-Barre and a new venue for us the River Street Jazz Cafe!

And as always you can catch the team weekly at your favorite night spots like, Kildare’s in Scranton, and Senunas’ as well as The River Grille in Wilkes-Barre.

Homecoming Recap

Well in our previous blog post we mentioned returning to Mechanicsburg for their Homecoming dance. If you look below you can see it was an enormous success! More kids turned out than previous years, and as per the coordinator they all stayed right till the very end! Thanks to Eddie at Cutting Edge Productions and Jesse at Baker SLE, we had a great night and hope to return!

Back Again!

This Weekend Dj Hersh heads back down to Mechanicsburg for another epic dance party with the kids of Mechanicsburg Area H.S. This will be something like the 3rd dance The BeatTeks team has done for MAHS by request. Because we bring nothing but the best!

Nothing but the best

We are back… Finally with a new blog post. It has been some time but the team here has been extremely busy. College is back in which means the boys Jay Velar, King B, and Hersh are rocking regularly at Senunas’ Bar & Grill in downtown Wilkes-Barre. This past weekend was King’s College’s Homecoming (see photo). We will be rotating here on Saturdays and some Friday’s while college is in session. Then we have a slew of special events, weddings and everything in between. We are working on a benefit for a dear friend which will be in the Wilkes-Barre area sometime in the coming months. Hersh is also working on a reunion of two past groups, the Clever Gents, as well as the area favorite Abstract Peoples. Stay tuned to BeatTeks.com for more info!

Live Hip-Hop at Karl Hall

Our good friend AJ Jump has brought a lifelong goal to fruition.  He's opened his very own music venue in downtown Wilkes-Barre.  Karl Hall opened on North Main Street just over a month ago and has since hosted a plethora of acts, everything from blue grass to drum & bass.  But Saturday May 26th will be the very first local Hip-Hop show.  Our own Dj Hersh is set to take on the Dj duties for all acts except for one.  Another good friend of ours Gino Lispi will be performing his set with the Indigo Moon Brass Band, which will be nothing short of fantastic.  Please if you are out and about looking for a good night of local Hip-Hop check it out and support a new venue along with some new artists.  Click Here for ticket information. 

Mechanicsburg Prom 2018

Last year our friend Dj Edge who is out of Lancaster PA contracted us to perform at the Mechanicsburg Area HS Prom.  The event was a resounding success, so much so that they requested Dj Hersh perform the event again in 2018, and the heat commenced!  These kids were amazing and wanted to do only one thing... DANCE!  It's really amazing when you have a great group like this, especially younger folks.  We had a blast, for about 4 hours straight the Wildcats kept it lit.  Thank you MASH! 

Elevate!

April 26th in association with Sector One Productions, we are glad to help bring ELEVATE, An evening of the finest Drum & Bass to Wilkes-Barre's newest venue Karl Hall.

We're very excited to bring drum & bass back to Wilkes-Barre. Come join us at the area's newest music venue, Karl Hall, which is housed in the basement of the historic Polish Union Building.
